Gesetzgebung: Kindergeld steigt um 15 EUR monatlich

Durch das Zweite Familienentlastungsgesetz wurden das Kindergeld und die -freibeträge, der Grundfreibetrag und der Unterhaltshöchstbetrag mit Wirkung ab 2021 erhöht. |

Beim Kindergeld ist eine Erhöhung um 15 EUR je Kind und Monat zu verzeichnen. Dies bedeutet ab 2021:

  • jeweils 219 EUR für das erste und zweite Kind,
  • 225 EUR für das dritte Kind und
  • 250 EUR für das vierte und jedes weitere Kind.

Der Kinderfreibetrag wurde mit Wirkung ab 2021 von 5.172 EUR (2.586 EUR je Elternteil) auf 5.460 EUR (2.730 EUR je Elternteil) erhöht. Der Freibetrag für den Betreuungs- und Erziehungs- oder Ausbildungsbedarf wurde von 2.640 EUR (1.320 EUR je Elternteil) auf 2.928 EUR (1.464 EUR je Elternteil) angehoben.

Der steuerliche Grundfreibetrag wurde von 9.408 EUR auf 9.744 EUR (2021) und 9.984 EUR (2022) erhöht. Der Unterhaltshöchstbetrag wurde an diese Werte angepasst.
